About Holda Kit

Holda Kit has evolved to produce functional, durable, wallet friendly, and environmentally aware products that don't rust, rot, or end up as microplastics. Using materials such as aircraft grade aluminum tubing, fittings, stainless steel, wood, and natural fiber and rubber, the hope is to create items that can be passed on, taken apart to repurpose, and eventually recycled when no longer needed.

Initially, the originator of Holda Kit needed to solve a simple problem - carrying paddleboards on the sides of an adventure van. The side rack he had been using needed to be modified for a new van, but the company was no longer providing the needed parts. As a custom whitewater raft frame builder, he took the same parts used to survive rafting the Grand Canyon and used them to build a new rack that was lighter, stronger, and much easier to mount and adjust.

Given the originator was growing old, and no desire to run a company at that stage of life, he reached out seeking a partner. In 2025, a much younger engineer/MBA said yes and in 2026, the team invited another MBA with expertise in branding and marketing to join the team.

After reviewing where the company was, and where they want it to go, the three are working hard to grow an idea into a company that designs and builds products that  theoretically can last forever, similar to high quality tools.

Every Holda Kit product is built to order, engineered for real use, and designed to adapt to the way people actually travel, surf, paddle, and explore. No mass production. No off-the-shelf shortcuts.

Holda Kit products are designed and field tested by GarnBuilt, a Washington-based design and fabrication company located on the edge of the Scablands. The originator continues to create, road test, and river test new ideas and products.

To date, products include whitewater expedition boat frames, custom van and camper racks, hippie / cowboy hot tub stands, rolling shop tables, lightweight gates, and other unique outdoor equipment. That hands-on design and fabrication experience is what keeps Holda Kit systems modular, strong, and functional.

Each order is made specifically for the customer’s setup, whether that’s a van, custom rig, or unique board configuration. Because of this, build times may vary—but quality never does.

If you have questions about fitment, configurations, or custom options, we’re happy to help.

Built for adventure ~ built to last.
